Party time for Choccy at Stonham Rescue Centre!

Choccy the donkey celebrates his birthday next week, and we would like to make a fuss of him by holding a special birthday party on Sunday August 27th at the Stonham Rescue Centre in Suffolk where he lives.

This lovely donkey will be centre of attention all day long and will be having a special birthday parade on Sunday at 1pm, complete with lots of singing and a ginger biscuit birthday cake! Donkeys love ginger biscuits - even though the strong ginger makes their little noses run (!) - and donations of biscuits are always welcome!

Choccy the donkey

You do not have to be a Choccy adopter to come along and enjoy his birthday party - everyone's welcome and entry is completely free. There will be games and activities going on all day long, as well as horsey care demonstrations, walking tours of the site and even an appearance from one of the Redwings mascots, Red or Wings!

Choccy is a very handsome jack donkey with a chocolate coloured coat (hence his name!) and very distincive striped legs. He lives at our Stonham Rescue Centre in Suffolk with his donkey friends, as well as Katy the pretty pony, Finnegan the coloured cob and Harry Potter, the miniature Shetland.

To find out how you can adopt one of these likely characters for as little as £8.50 a year, follow this link to the adoption pages of this site or telephone 01508 481010 for more information.

If you would like to come along to Choccy's birthday party, go to the Visit Us pages of the site to download a map to our Stonham centre or telephone our visitor helpline on 0870 040 0033. We would love to see you, and so would Choccy!
