Birthday treat for Boo!May 21 was Boo's birthday weekend and we celebrated with a party at the Redwings Ada Cole Rescue Centre where he lives.The centre is situated near Harlow in Essex and is a very special site with more than 50 horses, ponies, donkeys and mules to meet and greet, as well as Boo the Birthday boy of course!
There will be plenty of fuss for stunning Arab Boo, with a birthday parade complete with an extra special equine birthday cake, plus various horsey activities taking place all day, and even a surprise visit from Red or Wings, the Sanctuary’s cuddly mascots! Boo was one of a group of seven horses rescued in conjunction with the RSPCA. They were in an appalling condition and their owner was subsequently prosecuted for cruelty and banned for life from keeping horses. Many of Boo’s companions were re-homed, but Boo proved to be a very nervous chap and it was decided that he would be happier to stay in the familiar surroundings of the Redwings Ada Cole centre.
