Come and celebrate with our birthday boys!

This coming Sunday, why not come along and make a fuss of birthday boys Finnegan or Boo at our Suffolk or Essex visitor centres? The only difficulty is deciding whose party to go to!

At our Stonham Rescue Centre in Suffolk we will be holding a party for much loved adoption cob Finnegan on Sunday May 20th, and everyone's invited! You do not have to adopt Finnegan to come along to his party - everyone is welcome and entry is free!

Finnegan looks forward to his birthday cake!

At 1pm we will have a special birthday parade for Finnegan, complete with suitably loud 'Happy Birthday' song and special equine birthday cake. The centre opens at 10am and there will be activities and guided tours throughout the day - it promises to be a great day out!

Finnegan is a stunning coloured cob, rescued from London by the RSPCA along with two other horses. All three were very neglected and extremely thin but they have now made a full recovery and are living happily at Redwings. Finnegan is a gentle giant who loves to be cuddled and meet his fans!

Our Stonham centre where Finnegan lives is a lovely site with paddock walks and an information centre and gift shop where you can learn more about adopting a Redwings resident. The centre is part of the Stonham Barns complex and there is a restaurant and plenty of shopping on site too.

For more information or details of how to reach our Suffolk centre, go to the Visit Us pages of this site or telephone our visitor helpline on 0870 040 0033.

Birthday boy Boo!

Alternatively, why not join us at The Redwings Ada Cole Rescue Centre near Harlow in Essex for adoption Boo's birthday party? Boo's party will also be taking place on Sunday May 20th and everyone's invited!

Boo is a beautiful Arab gelding originally part of a group of horses rescued alongside the RSPCA. They were in an appalling condition and their owner was subsequently prosecuted and banned for life from keeping horses. Boo is still very nervous as a result of his experiences and unsuitable for rehoming so he will have a happy home at Redwings Ada Cole for the rest of his days.

The Ada Cole Rescue Centre where Boo lives is home to more than 50 rescued horses, ponies, donkeys and mules, many of whom are looking for homes through the Redwings Guardianship Scheme. The site has paddock walks and an information centre and gift shop full of fantastic gifts - all the profits raised go directly towards the charity's vital welfare work.

The centre is open daily from 10am and Boo's birthday party will take place at 1pm, although there will be activities and demonstrations going on all day.

To find out more about the Ada Cole Rescue Centre, follow this link to the Visit Us pages of this site, or telephone 0870 040 0033. We look forward to seeing you soon!
