Very sad adoption news
We are sad to say that our beloved adoption Shire, Bonnie passed away on 5th May 2005 aged 18.
Bonnie’s arthritis had given us increased cause for concern and she was receiving increasingly stronger medication for her condition. Sadly, Bonnie’s health did not improve and her wellbeing started to deteriorate, so the difficult decision was made to put Bonnie to sleep to ensure she would not suffer.
Bonnie had lived at the Sanctuary all her life and she had joined the adoption scheme following the passing away of her mother Jessie. Bonnie was loved by all who met her and was so friendly she would even come when called by her daily care team. Her loss will be felt by all the dedicated staff at Redwings. We are setting up a Bonnie Memorial Fund and if you would like to send a donation to this Fund, in memory of Bonnie, you are welcome to do so.
If you are a Bonnie adoptor, please bear with us as we will be writing to you in the next couple of weeks. We know Bonnie will be sorely missed as she touched all our hearts.
