Sydney’s Sunday Shindig!
Adoption pony Sydney will be celebrating his birthday on Sunday the 12th of October.
Redwings will be holding a birthday party for Sydney at the Caldecott Visitor Centre near Gt. Yarmouth where he lives. Sydney will be turning 19 next week, and would love for you to join him in his birthday festivities. Entry is free, and the day will be packed full of fun!
The centre is open from 10am until 5pm and entry is free. Caldecott has a refreshments café and a gift shop, as well as a sparkly new children’s play area. There are also more than 50 other rescued equines there who would love for you to stop by and say hello.
During the day there will be lots of activities and games going on. At 1pm Sydney will have his birthday parade where there will be the opportunity for everybody to sing Happy Birthday to him! Sydney will then tuck in to a yummy birthday cake made from all of his favourite horsey foods. There will also be other horsey demonstrations going on, and our mascots, Red and Wings, will also pop by.
Sydney was born at Redwings Horse Sanctuary in 1989. His mother, Christobel, was rescued whilst she was in foal with Sydney, but sadly died soon after his birth. He’s a beautiful handsome chappy who is very friendly and thoroughly enjoys his birthday parties! He is particularly good friends with fellow adoption pony Icky.
You don’t even have to adopt Sydney to be able to come along and celebrate – everybody is welcome!
