Fantastic day for all at first Redwings Show!

We had a fantastic turnout and beautiful weather for our very first Redwings Show on Sunday May 10th.

The Show was organised to celebrate our Silver Jubilee and we were thrilled that so many of you came along to support us, thank you! The Redwings Show was held at the excellent Humberstone Farm Equestrian Centre near Great Yarmouth on Sunday, on what turned out to be a glorious sunny day.

It was such a pleasure to see so many of our Guardians and their Redwings ponies there, and particularly to see them getting on so well in their new homes. We also met many new faces and their beautiful horses and ponies, all looking to take home a highly prized Redwings rosette!

Showjumping classes ran from 8.30am and were great fun, with some very exciting moments and high drama in the Speed class, Open Topscore and the ever-popular Take Your Own Line, along with the unforgettable Redwings Grand Prix, won in fine style by Richard Aldous riding Sun Sal. The day also included lots of fun showing classes including My Best Friend, won by our very own Redwings Dream (who features in the Redwings DVD!) ridden by Lilly Wilson, a Veteran Class won by 24-year-old Royal Albert ridden by Jillian Gladden, and a Best Condition Redwings Guardianship Equine Class, won by the gorgeous Redwings Corsa ridden by Imogen Sheldrake. We also had a donated tack stand and a cake raffle, and in total we managed to raise several hundred pounds for Redwings, so thanks everyone who took part. We must also say a huge thank you to all our sponsors, who were: Spillers, Horse and Pony, Blue Chip, Pony magazine, A1 Embroidery, Helen Sidia Ltd, Play the Game (Beccles), Chamleigh Rosettes, Drayton Farms Ltd, John Parker Carriage Driving, Emma Lacey and Eastern Lights Photography - thanks everyone!
