The kindness of strangers...

After we took part in an RSPCA rescue this week, we have been overwhelmed by public support.

As many are aware, this week Redwings was involved in a large rescue of horses from Buckinghamshire. This was an RSPCA-led case involving local Police and other charities including the ILPH and the Blue Cross. All organisations concerned have worked this week as a team, and Redwings was pleased to involve 30 of its staff and 8 horseboxes.

We have been touched and heartened by the public support that has come in. Some have offered practical help, others equipment but many have dug deep and as at Friday 11 January £20,000 had already come in. Those who have given know that we are entirely funded by the public’s goodwill and our work is only possible thanks to the kindness of strangers, animal lovers and our loyal supporters. Our 1100 equines have a happy life, thanks to you.

If you would like to offer your support, please telephone 01508 481000. Alternatively you can send donations to Redwings Horse Sanctuary, Hapton, Norwich, NR15 1SP or click here to donate now. We are grateful for any amount and every penny will go towards the care of our special new arrivals from the Amersham rescue.
