Homes wanted for some very special ponies

Redwings is currently seeking Guardian homes for some extra special residents!

The Redwings Re-homing team have been busy working with some lovely ponies down at their re-homing centre in Norfolk and are now seeking some very special Guardians to offer them the loving homes they deserve.

The ponies all have fantastic futures ahead of them and are seeking experienced homes where they can be developed and brought on to their full potential. Could you be the person to offer them a loving home?

Ross

Little Welsh pony Ross (pictured below) is only five years old and came to Redwings as part of a big welfare rescue from the Welsh commons in 2004. He is a very sweet little chap looking for an experienced and understanding guardian as he is still very green and has much to learn.

Meanwhile, beautiful pony Mae West is a much more mature girl at 14 years old although she was originally a rescue case and so has only recently been backed to ride. Her late start hasn't affected her prospects and she will make someone a fantastic pony as she is not only stunning but also a very well behaved girl who has recently been taking part in jumping demonstrations at our re-homing centre!

Lindt

Lindt (below) is part of our 'chocolate group', and was born to mum Aero shortly after Aero's rescue from the Welsh commons in 2004- the group also includes Bounty and Milky Way! Lindt is another youngster at just four years old - she is also very laidback and quiet and has even been known to fall asleep during her backing sessions! She is still green, however, and will need an experienced and quiet home to help bring out her full potential.

There are many more ponies also looking for homes through the scheme, including a number of companion ponies such as beautiful Megan and handsome Teasel! If you are interested in applying for any of these ponies or simply want to find out more, see our Guardianship Scheme.

The Redwings Guardianship Scheme was set up to find caring homes for those horses and ponies we rescue that are capable of a fulfilling life outside the Sanctuary. Since the scheme began in 2005, we have found loving Guardian homes for over 150 horses and ponies and have responsibility for more than 300 others who were already settled in homes thanks to the Ada Cole Rescue Centre in Essex, an equine welfare charity who merged with Redwings in October 2005.

We currently re-home from two sites, the Parklands Re-homing Centre in Norfolk and the Ada Cole Rescue Centre in Essex, to homes in Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire (although we may also consider homes in Bedfordshire).
