Celebrate with Louie at Redwings Ada Cole
Come along to our Essex centre this Sunday to help us celebrate the birthday of this much-loved donkey.
Lovely Louie is one of the centre’s two very special adoption donkeys and it is his birthday on 31st March. To make sure everyone can attend we will be holding a special birthday party for Louie on Sunday, 30th March. You don’t have to adopt Louie to come along and help him celebrate – everyone is welcome and entry is free of charge!
There will be a birthday parade for handsome Louie at 1pm, mascots Red and Wings will be putting in an appearance at 12.30pm and there will be a quiz trail going on all through the day too. The centre opens from 10am as it does every day and with refreshments and a gift shop on site as well as more than 50 rescued horses, ponies and donkeys to meet and greet, there is something for everyone!
Louie was rescued by the Ada Cole centre in 1983 when his owner lost interest and began to neglect him. Two years later Louie was fostered out and even learned to pull a special donkey cart with another donkey friend. Louie came back to Ada Cole in 1987 when his carer had to give him up, and now he enjoys a happy retirement with the small herd of donkey residents.
