Beat the crunch with a day out at Redwings!
Our Visitor Centre near Great Yarmouth opens its doors on Saturday – and entry is free!
Redwings' Quality Assured Visitor Attraction at Caldecott Hall in Fritton, Norfolk is home to lots of friendly horses, ponies, donkeys and mules and is open to visitors from this Saturday March 28th every day until the end of October.
There is a café, gift shop, ‘Horse Wise’ education centre and children’s play area on site and entry is free of charge – making this a great and cost effective family day out!

Residents include Oliver Twist, a very cute pony born with a twisted muzzle, Denise the cheeky but cuddly donkey, and Darcey, a gorgeous dapple grey pony who was once used as a cover for drug smuggling across the Channel. Several of the residents can be adopted for just £12.50 a year, with all the proceeds going towards our work, which is entirely funded by public donation.
Meanwhile the ‘Nosebag café’ has a new improved menu which includes jacket potatoes, paninis and baguettes, afternoon tea, soups, delicious cakes and even Fair Trade teas and coffees, and once you have refuelled, you can enjoy a tractor ride or walking tour of the site with a member of the horse care team!
