Fantastic result for our Jubilee auction!
We are absolutely thrilled to announce that our Silver Jubilee Auction on Saturday night raised more than £9000 for our horses and ponies!
Paul Martin, presenter of the BBC's auction favourite 'Flog It!', was fantastic as our guest auctioneer, and really got the crowd going, and we would like to thank him and everyone who came along on the night or donated prizes for making it such a special night!
The most popular items were the amazing Jenson Button prizes, which included a rear wing from his F1 racing car and a signed canvas from the Monaco Grand Prix, raising £775 between them, and a fantastic five star holiday in Spain which went for more than £650!

Extremely popular too were the celebrity doodles done especially for Redwings. Ricky Gervais' fantastic donkey doodle went for an incredible £120, while a painting from poet Pam Ayres went for £110 and a doodle by comedienne Jo Brand made £60 for the charity. Even more incredible was the Paul O'Grady pack including a 'nodding Buster' which raised an outstanding £260!

The event was held at the Maids Head Hotel in the centre of Norwich on Saturday evening, and more than 100 joined the bidding, which included a main auction expertly hosted by Paul Martin, and a Silent Auction running through the evening which raised over £1500! Paul said: "It was a real honour to be invited to be Redwings' auctioneer. I was delighted to have the chance to do what I could to help horses, they are such lovely gentle animals. The auction was a wonderful way to celebrate 25 years of Redwings history and I was proud to be a part of it."
Also amongst the lots were some beautiful prints by portrait artist Robin Elvin which were extremely in demand and fetched £600 for Redwings, and a fantastic Dr Who prize donated by local actor Terry Molloy (who played Davros, no less!) which raised £120. Fine dining at Milsom's restaurant with a trip to The Suffolk Punch Trust went for £230, while an exclusive cookery lesson at The Dove Restaurant went for £220.
In total we raised more than £9000 for the charity, which is absolutely outstanding, and we would like to say thank you so much to everyone who came along! We were overwhelmed by everyone's generosity and support particularly in these troubled times, and of course we would also like to thank everyone who donated a prize for the event - it was an amazing result for our horses, and a fantastic fun night too!
