Redwings feature on animal rescue show

Redwings was featured on BBC One show Animal 24:7 on Fri 15th and Weds 20th February.

Presenter Tom Heap and a film crew from the popular animal rescue show spent time at Redwings' headquarters in Norfolk observing our vet team in action in our specialist horse hospital and also went out on a major rescue operation with our skilled rescue team.

The footage was shown in two episodes as part of the brand new series of the show, shown on Friday 15th and Wednesday 20th February at 9.15am on BBC One.

Amongst those ponies featured was Arizona, a little pony in desperate need of dental surgery, and Monique and Angel, a mum and baby taken in as part of a complex rescue operation. Viewers got an inside look at the running of our horse hospital here at Hapton and met some of our knowledgeable and very friendly staff too!

We hope this wonderful coverage will showcase the vital welfare work Redwings carries out on a daily basis, both in taking care of our 1100 horsey residents and also outside the sanctuary as we work with horses and ponies across the UK. Hopefully you enjoyed watching as much as we enjoyed being filmed!
