Amersham appeal is now underway

The appeal hearing in the animal welfare case that Redwings were heavily involved in two years ago began on Monday 11 January 2010 at Bicester Magistrates Court (sitting as Aylesbury Crown Court for the purposes of this hearing).

Members of the Gray family and a juvenile male who cannot be named for legal reasons are appealing against various convictions for animal welfare offences following a successful prosecution brought by the RSPCA in 2009.

Redwings is now caring for 61 of the horses, ponies and donkeys that were removed from a site in Buckinghamshire in January 2008 as part of this case, and two of our vets will be involved in the appeal hearing itself. We would like to thank you for your patience throughout this lengthy legal process and we will of course inform you of the appeal outcome as soon as it is announced. In the meantime thank you again for all your support.

More than 60 of the horses and donkeys from this case are now in Redwings' care
