Quality seal for our Ada Cole centre
We are so proud to announce that our centre in Harlow is now a Quality Assured Visitor Attraction.
Following an independent assessment of its facilities, our Ada Cole Rescue Centre in Essex has been awarded VAQAS status.
The centre, home to more than 50 horses, ponies and donkeys, is open all year every day from 10am to 5pm to the general public, with the exception of Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.
Entry is free, and you can not only learn about what the charity does but also enjoy the chance to bond with our very special and very friendly resident equines!

VAQAS status is awarded following independent review and involved an inspector looking very carefully at all our facilities, which include a gift shop and information centre on the site, as well as a café serving light refreshments, full disabled access and free parking.
In addition we welcome dogs on leads, arrange tours and demonstrations, give special paddock walks and birthday parties for visiting children and even for our adoption ponies. The team at the centre have worked very hard on enhancing the facilities we have on offer and always provide fantastic customer service and this is a wonderful reflection of their achievements.
The Ada Cole Rescue Centre will now be displaying its plaque with pride, and even more importantly it means that all three of Redwings' Visitor Centres are now VAQAS approved, as the status was granted to our Oxhill centre in 2007 and to our Caldecott Visitor Centre in Norfolk back in 2005.
Find out more about visiting Redwings in our visiting section of the website.
The VAQAS scheme is organised by Visit Britain.
