Changing an existing will
When should you update your Will
Any changes in family circumstances such as divorce, separation, re-marriage, births or deaths all mean that your Will should be changed. You may already have written a Will but decide that you wish to add a beneficiary, for example, you may decide to leave a gift to Redwings. It is very important that you keep your Will up to date.
How to change your Will
Usually amendments or additions to an existing Will can be made easily by means of a Codicil, an addition to your Will which is kept with the original. However, if the changes are as a result of a divorce or re-marriage, a completely new Will should be drawn up.
