Remember a loved one

The Memorial Garden at our Hapton HQ is at the heart of the Sanctuary, overlooking the beautiful Norfolk countryside. We are pleased to have many animal and bird visitors to our garden, including two types of woodpecker, little owls, nuthatches, squirrels, hares, deer and even a weasel – it is an absolute wildlife haven. It is a place of tranquillity, with benches overlooking the lawns and flower beds, a place to sit for quiet reflection and remembrance.

Here we also have the plaques to those beloved adoption horses we have loved and lost – our most recent loss Sydney has a plaque here, overlooking the Redwings paddocks, along with other lost adoption friends including Polly, Rocky and Willow.

Many of our supporters have chosen to commemorate a loved one or an animal companion by placing a plaque in the Memorial Garden.

If you would like to remember a treasured pet, for a donation of just £50 we will purchase and maintain your plaque for five years – for an additional £10 we can also plant a rabbit proof shrub (as hungry rabbits are also frequent visitors to the garden!).

Don’t forget, for a donation of £100 you can place a plaque for a loved friend or relative at one of our visitor centres, in Essex, Norfolk or Warwickshire.

For more information on memorial plaques please telephone our Supporter Services team on 01508 481000 or e-mail legacies@redwings.co.uk.
