Horses in Danger Appeal

In early 2009 a cold-hearted owner left a group of ponies to fend for themselves on a cold, muddy riverbank in Norfolk, with no food or shelter. The horses were in desperate need of help, and so weak from hunger and neglect that most of them were on the verge of collapse. Working with the police and the RSPCA, Redwings brought all 35 ponies back to the safety of the Sanctuary, and a year on they are all making fantastic progress! No owner was ever found, but we have happily offered a home to all the ponies, including seven foals born since the rescue, for the rest of their days. As we enter 2010 we want to be there for all horses, ponies, donkeys and mules in danger - please support our Horses in Danger appeal and help us help more horses like these in future.
